Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Our commitment
FioSec Consulting Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities and to providing our website, www.fiosec.com, in a way that respects the dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity of all users. We are committed to meeting our accessibility obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code, and to treating accessibility as a continuing responsibility rather than a one-time exercise.
Conformance target
This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level AA meets and exceeds the WCAG 2.0 Level AA standard required for web content under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11) made under the AODA.
This website is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning most content conforms to the standard while some third-party components may not yet fully conform (see Known Limitations below). A full conformance evaluation is part of our pre-launch quality assurance.
Measures we take
Accessibility was a design requirement from the first day of this site’s development, not an afterthought. Measures include:
- Semantic structure: every page uses proper landmarks, a logical heading hierarchy, and a “skip to content” link.
- Keyboard access: all navigation, buttons, forms, and interactive elements (including the Layered Defense diagram and the FAQ) are fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator at all times.
- Color and contrast: the color palette was engineered so that text meets or exceeds WCAG contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful graphics). Information is never conveyed by color alone.
- Touch targets and text size: interactive elements are at least 44 by 44 pixels, and body text is at least 16 pixels on mobile.
- Reduced motion: animation, including the partner logo marquee and scroll effects, is reduced or disabled when your device requests reduced motion (the prefers-reduced-motion setting).
- Images and media: meaningful images, including all partner logos, carry descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Forms: every field has a programmatically associated label, a clear required-field indication, and error messages announced to assistive technology.
- Links: links that open in a new tab and links to external sites are identified for assistive-technology users.
Testing and evaluation
We evaluate accessibility using a combination of automated tools and manual review before publishing, including the axe automated testing tool, manual keyboard navigation, and screen-reader testing.
Our most recent evaluation used the axe automated testing tool together with manual keyboard navigation and screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (Safari) and NVDA (Chrome). Most recent review: June 2026.
Accessible formats and communication supports
On request, FioSec will provide, or arrange for the provision of, the information on this website in an accessible format or with communication supports, in a timely manner and at no greater cost than is charged to other persons. We will consult with the person making the request to determine a format or support that meets their needs. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible.
The contact page includes an embedded Google map, which is third-party content whose accessibility we do not fully control; the same address is also provided as text on the page. Some blog posts link to content hosted on external websites that we do not control. We are not currently aware of any other accessibility barriers on this website.
Compatibility
This site is built with standards-compliant HTML and CSS and is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, on screens from 320 pixels wide and up. Accessibility also depends in part on the technologies and assistive software you use; if you experience difficulty, please let us know so we can help.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, or need any content provided in an accessible format or with communication support, please tell us. We take all accessibility feedback seriously, will acknowledge it, and will work to resolve the issue:
